Recognize the lower route
- Reach the prison approach after obtaining the Prison Key.
- Find the descending stairs beside the stairs leading into the prison.
- At the lower door, read the interaction prompt. The published walkthrough does not identify the required key precisely; do not spend or craft a guessed key based on this guide.
- Beyond the door, look for the Iron Rod and Pickaxe. Watch for archers above.
If you cannot match the stairs and door, return to the prison entry as your reference point. The banner is promotional art, not a pickup-location photograph.
What to do with it
Return to the sewer goo with your new tool. Breaking goo can provide Clay, which opens more camp crafting options.
Check your version
The developer explicitly said that the Demo did not contain a Pickaxe. If you are following these steps in the Demo, more searching will not unlock the full-release tool.
